2025 Aimee Krug Memorial Student Solo Competition

A founding member of the Central Iowa Wind Ensemble, Aimee shined as a gifted oboe instructor and performer. Her passion for teaching students was demonstrated by having several All-State qualifying students over the years.

Aimee passed from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2010 following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Aimee was a cherished member of the Central Iowa Wind Ensemble and we are dedicating this solo competition to her memory.

First Place: $1,000 cash prize and opportunity to perform solo accompanied by the Central Iowa Wind Ensemble
Second Place: $500 cash prize
Third Place: $250 cash prize

Entry deadline: Monday, January 20, 2025
Audition date: Sunday, February 16, 2025
Performance date: Sunday, May 4, 2025
