How to become a member:

The Central Iowa Wind Ensemble seeks exceptional woodwind, brass and percussion musicians to join Iowa's premier amateur wind band. In order to maintain a high level of performance, an open audition is held at the beginning of each semester to evaluate the proficiency of prospective members. Since our membership is continuously in flux, all instruments are invited to audition.

Auditions for all instruments will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, August 19, 2012 in the music room of the Grand View University Student Center (2811 East 14th Street, Des Moines). Each candidate shall play the first half of each etude listed as audition materials for the 2012 Iowa All-State Band. A short sight reading evaluation will also be given.
